Acts of Kindness
Someone recently said to me that unexpected faith moments happen so far and few between they are hard to notice. This surprised me because I think they happen more often than not. As I think about this, I believe that we need to provide opportunities for unexpected faith moments to happen and we need to open our hearts and mind to recognize these moments when they happen. So, how do you provide opportunities for "faith conversations, moments" to happen? How about starting with simple acts if kindness? A smile to a stranger, a helping hand (hold open a door etc.,) a friendly greeting . . . and the list goes on. It is amazing to see how one simple act can open up the door for conversation and faith? What do you think?

Often in blogs people ask "what do you think" and no one responds. Does that mean no one is thinking or something else? I believe you have give us a number of things to think of when we go about our life each day.
ReplyDeleteSo often I think we feel to share our faith we have to do some life changing activity and we feel we are really not prepared to do that. But you have expressed sharing our faith in a way we can all do.
I will try to do better. Thanks for your ideas.
Thanks for your comments Dan. It is amazing how simple it can be to share our faith through small acts of kindness, goodwill. Sometimes I actually feel foolish when someone thanks me for something I did naturally. It makes me realize that these simple acts, without spoken explanations, can somehow be contagious and what you do for one will be passed on to another because they want to share that feeling. A 'Pay it Forward' feeling. It is nice.
